Basement waterproofing testimonial in Cincinnati Ohio

April 27, 2010

This great waterproofing testimonial came in from a happy homeowner in Cincinnati Ohio!

Everyone was very kind and explained things when I asked. They were very careful passing through my living room & kitchen…There is no water in my basement any more. And my walls are there to stay. Thanks to all that worked on it.
Nola Falack – Cincinnati, OH

Thanks to Nola and our crew who made this possible!

The Basement Doctor Earns 'The Best of Columbus' Award

Press Release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Basement Doctor Receives 2010 Best of Columbus Award

U.S. Commerce Association’s Award Plaque Honors the Achievement

NEW YORK, NY, April 7, 2010 — For the second consecutive year, The Basement Doctor has been selected for the 2010 Best of Columbus Award in the Basement Waterproofing, Finishing, Remodeling and Foundation Repair category by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA).

The USCA “Best of Local Business” Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.

Nationwide, only 1 in 70 (1.4%) 2009 Award recipients qualified as two-time Award Winners. Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2010 USCA Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USCA and data provided by third parties.

The Basement Doctor Helps the Mid-Ohio Foodbank

December 2, 2009

hungry mom and kids

This is way too common!

As we approach the Christmas season, I’ve been reminded that the need for food is greater than ever. Things have gotten tighter for many central Ohio families, and the Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s work is needed more now than than ever. This year alone they have worked with over 200 area companies to deliver 4,517,754 meals.

But even with FOUR-POINT-FIVE-MILLION meals provided in 2009, it’s still not enough. We’re getting involved to further help the communities where we work.

Food requests at their network of pantries is up 15%

Imagine telling your kids you have no food.

The Basement Doctor team is hosting a food drive to benefit our fellow central Ohioans served by the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. We’re utilizing the Home Improvement Center (614-522-0784) as a collection point for nonperishable food donations. Our food drive starts now and runs through December 24th.

We’ll ensure the donations get the the Foodbank asap.

Your much needed donation will directly help families here in the mid-Ohio region. For nearly 30 years, the Mid-Ohio Foodbank has been working with grocers, food companies, Ohio farmers, the USDA, and community partners to obtain and distribute food to more than 500 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, after-school programs, and senior housing sites across central and eastern Ohio.

Will you PLEASE stop by our Home Improvement Center (at the corner of Rt. 256 & Livingston in Reynoldsburg) and drop off a bag or two of nonperishable food?

Mr. Basement Sponsors WJZ 13 Puppy Adoption Program

December 2, 2009

Mr. Basement Sponsors WJZ 13 Puppy Adoption Program.

Mr Basement is the brother company to The Basement Doctor – Ron.

Mr. Basement has joined forces with WJZ 13 to make a big difference in little dogs’ lives.

Each Friday afternoon, WJZ 13 spotlights a different adoptable puppy on their show.  They cuddle with him, talk about his personality, and share some info about adopting from the SPCA, where all these puppies come from.  To help out, Ron Greenbaum, President and CEO of “Mr. Basement”, is chipping in to sponsor the program.

Most recently sponsored was “Shay Shay” an adorable Chihuahua/Pug mix, who was featured with a Mr. Basement scarf.  Click to watch the video!

The SPCA is especially hopeful that they’ll be able to find homes for pets during the holiday season, and to do what they could, they’ve decided to stay open during Black Friday. Some of the dogs have been wearing cat ears to remind everyone that there are many adoptable cats as well.
